In Episode #27, we share our all-time favorite shopping apps. These are the bare essentials! They include both mobile and browser apps that save you money in stores and online. (Some offer both mobile and browser versions.) Why do we love them so much? First, they're all super easy and fun to use—and, well, if you're not using them you could be missing out on hundreds of dollars a year in savings.
Some of the apps we've raved about before, so if you've missed episodes, or are new to Hot Shopping Tips, you can listen in to get fully caught up. Apps every shopper should know include Flipp, Retailmenot, Coupons.com, Honey, ShopSavvy, and CouponSherpa. To us, these are the must-haves. (If you've never downloaded a browser app, simply click on the links above to add them to Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.) Other apps we mention in the podcast include Wish, Fashion Nova, Zaful, and Shein. (A few apps we like that we didn't have time to mention in the podcast include Invisible Hand, CamelCamelCamel, and Price Blink.)
In this episode, we also cover:
Why we're not crazy about the alkaline water craze. (Check out this article in the New York Times.)
Smartphone shopping scams that can nab you wherever you shop.
How to check on charities to avoid scams and make sure they deserve your dollars. (Websites we recommend include BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Charity Navigator, CharityWatch, and GuideStar.)
Plus, a couple of our favorite things, including Brooklyn Candle Studio candles and the Dyson V8 Absolute cordless vac.
